This amazing new product has garnered numerous US awards and lots of publicity and is called the JACPAC CO2®Power System.
The JACPAC ® Power System is a revolutionary product that hooks onto your belt and lets you operate standard pneumatic tools without a bulky compressor. | JacPac Named One of the Top 10 Innovations of 2007 |
|

2007 Workbench Award |
 |
WATERLOO, Ontario - March 9, 2007 Normally, the odds of success for new product launches are exceptionally low since only 3% ever get off the inventor's sketchpad, let alone into the retail marketplace. And if a new product makes it to production and then onto retail shelves, it still faces a 35% failure rate.
So the fact that JacPac, a CO2-powered hand tool, built by Supplierpipeline Inc., was recently named one of the Top 10 tool innovations for 2007 by Workbench magazine is a major triumph in the North American marketplace. Workbench, a popular publication targeting the rapidly growing do-it-yourself market, said, "… with the advent of the JacPac CO2 the inevitable extinction of the hammer may be at hand." Workbench Top 10 Innovations 2007
Launched in January 2006, JacPac has caught the interest of major hardware and do-it-yourself retailers all across North America. Its patented regulator that links almost any pneumatic nail gun to a portable CO2 canister allows the user to have the power of an air compressor literally hanging from the user's belt.
"We are flattered to be included in the Top 10 Innovations list, along with such prestigious brands as Black & Decker and Bostitch," said Steve Metcalfe, Product Development Manager of Supplierpipeline Inc. "We knew we had a great tool that would meet the needs of the trades and the consumer market, so it's nice to be recognized."
Metcalfe says that word of mouth advertising has been integral to the product's success. "As soon as someone buys one, it seems all the neighbors or a relative in the trades find out and want one too," says Metcalfe. The fact that JacPac weighs less than 5 lbs for the entire pneumatic system makes it ideal for nailing jobs like trimming cabinets or baseboard trim work, which require speed and flexibility. Its compact size makes it easier for women to use as well, demonstrating that Supplierpipeline recognizes the growing trend of the female do-it-yourself market.
While clearly the JacPac is the darling of the Workbench editorial staff, it has found fans throughout the hardware DIY industry with customers like Home Hardware, Ace Hardware and TSC and is now launching in a national big box hardware retailer across the US. "It's not enough to just be the hot new thing on the shelf," says Marian Marshall, Director of Critical Projects at Supplierpipeline. "You have to be able to offer the customer a value chain that extends into their store and help them with merchandising and program development. And we already have an impressive line of JacPac accessories ready to hit the marketplace later this year."
It's apparent that with the remarkable JacPac product launch, and Supplierpipeline's impressive new Workbench Award, that this aptly named company may actually be what other organizations claim - the pipeline to innovation.
JacPac retails for $129 for the basic kit and $180 (US) for the kit with the brad nailer/stapler.

WATERLOO, Ontario - May 22, 2007
JacPac CO2 Power System was awarded Popular Mechanics' Editor's Choice Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in new product design and innovation at the National Hardware Show in Orlando, Florida on May 8, 2007. The award highlights "the most useful and innovative new products for your tool box."
JacPac's break-through technology uses easy-to-carry CO2 canisters as its pneumatic power source. Popular Mechanics' editors recognized that with JacPac, common air-powered hand tools are now free from reliance on the heavy, noisy conventional air compressors.
"Fast, effortless pneumatic nailing has long been an integral part of the carpentry industry. And, until now, you needed to lug a noisy air compressor from site to site. The new JacPac CO2 system utilizes a compact pressurized CO2 cylinder that you carry on your belt and that silently drives up to 500 nails on a single charge," according to Popular Mechanics.
The JacPac CO2 power system was developed by Supplierpipeline Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario. Supplierpipeline is Canada's number one manufacturer of climbing products (ladders) in Canada, which are marketed under the Lite, Gryphon and Eagle brands. Supplierpipeline is also an emerging player in the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) power tool market with the introduction of the JacPac line in 2006.
Also named "Top 10 Tool Innovation"
JacPac has already garnered another major award when it was named one of the Top 10 Tool Innovations for 2007 by Workbench magazine in March.
Workbench, a popular publication targeting the rapidly growing do-it-yourself market, said, "...with the advent of the JacPac CO2 the inevitable extinction of the hammer may be at hand."
The JacPac CO2 power system comes with a cartridge. Regulator and hose for $119.99, or as a kit that includes a pneumatic brad gun for $189.99. A (refillable) 9-ounce cylinder costs $29.99. (US dollars).
Supplierpipeline Inc. is a global manufacturer and distributor of home improvement and "do-it-yourself" (DIY) hardware products. These quality, innovative products are marketed under internationally recognized and long-standing brand names such as Lite, Eagle, Gryphon and Jacmorr.
